Glad to see The Advertiser making more of a presence on the ‘net. Good luck with the merger. Those of us who grew up in Amory, but haven’t lived there in a while appreciate the link.

thanks, chip, for your support. As soon as we get the newspaper merger behind us I will hopefully be more diligent about putting more stuff on my blog. Stay tuned.

Hi Chris! I just found your blog spot! woo hoo – I miss Amory so much (believe it) and I’m so glad you are going to be diligent with your blog – I love reading about what is happening in Monroe county since we are so far away in Tennessee! I’m adding your blog to my favorites (just above Greg Ellis’ blog)…)

Hi Chris: I was excited to read you article on the new Steel Mill. I recently visited Amory to hear more about it from your city planners. All my ancestors are from and buried in Monroe County, and my Dad was born there. I grew up in Guin, Alabama about 30 miles to the East. Maybe I can come by the Newspaper the next time I am there on business, and learn more about the New Mill and learn more about the wonderful people in Amory. My family reunion is held each year in Greenwood Springs so I have a lot of ties to that part of Mississippi. Hopefully I can start doing business with the New Mill and have a reason to come home more often. I and my wife currently reside in Oneonta, Alabama.
God Bless you and your city.
